Pay It Forward for someone this Holiday Season

Hello,

There are many programs out there where you can make a small commission for each member that signs up under you. Some of these are under $5 to join or for the monthly subscription. Why not reward one of your members with a pay it forward membership. You get a referral and they have the first month to kick the tires and start making some cash. Most will keep their account active if they are in profit.

Here are a few you might consider:

Tis The Season

Yes, it is the season for giving, but should a line be drawn? Recently I have been asked by several people to do administrative and design work for free. Usually I do try to help people out but unfortunately some people just take advantage. If you are just starting out and need some help I am always available. If you tell me you cannot afford to pay for something I usually believe you and try to help anyway. If you tell me you have no money and demand work to be done for free when I see you spending money everywhere else, we have a problem. Please consider this the next time you demand something of me. I try to be a good friend but like everyone else here I am trying to scrape together a small income online. My friendships are valuable to me but so is my time.
Happy holidays

A Little Holiday Ditty

Twas the weeks before the new year
and all through the net
three way competitions and referral race
emails were a sure bet

The admins were promising
all sorts of good stuff
The surfers were surfing
competition was tough

I was in my garden
settling in for a long winter surf
When all of a sudden
I heard someone on my turf.

I got up from my desk
to see who it might be
and a little fat elf was
looking at me.

He winked when he saw me
and then pulled open his sack
He gave me some new members
and flung his sack on his back

He jumped back on his sled
and flew up through the sky
I knew I was seeing things
How crazy was I?

I heard him exclaim as he
flew out of site
Happy surfing to all
and to all a good night.

Do TE Owners have the right to choose for their members?

Tonight I received an email from a fellow TE Owner saying that a popular site was being banned because his group of TE Owners thought it to be questionable because of it's name. No one said it was a scam. No one said it did anything horrible. But this TE Owner group decided it should be banned so everyone jumped on the bandwagon.

I just want to say that I believe my members have the right to advertise what they want as long as it does not break the TOS. I also believe my members are adults who are smart enough to decide for themselves what they want to advertise without someone telling them what they can and cannot do.

Am I risking my reputation by taking this stand? No, I do not believe I am since I am letting my members have the freedom to make their own choices. If that risks my reputation then so be it.

I hope everyone thinks twice before banning a site just because other TEs are doing it. This is the 2nd site this week. Will your site be next?
